This theoretical finding suggests impact changes can inferred from empirical observation on distribution.

In this paper ,in order to investigate the economic effects of the minimum wage policy on macroeconomic variables in the framework of the new Keynesian theory, a dynamic stochastic equilibrium general (DSGE) model has been simulated and estimated for an open and small oil exporter economy conforming with the structure of Iran's economy in the range from 1370 to 1395 .In the above mentioned mode...

Welfare Effects of Minimum Wage and Other Government Policies

The minimum wage, unlike most government transfer programs, lowered welfare in the 1980s and 1990s as measured by all commonly used welfare or inequality measures, including various Atkinson indexes, the Gini index, standard deviation of logarithms, and others. Job Matching and the Wage Distribution∗

We present a synthesis between the microeconomic-labor and the macroeconomicequilibrium views of matching in labor markets. We nest a job matching model à la Jovanovic (1984) into a Mortensen and Pissarides (1994)-type equilibrium search environment. The resulting framework preserves the implications of job matching theory for worker turnover and wage dynamics, while allowing for aggregation an...
